Update 0.3
Hi all! Delivering a couple of small updates to increase the quality of life within the game!
- Silence is nerfed
Probably the biggest change with this update is the change to the "Silence" state. From games like Final Fantasy, we know the Silence trait as a sealing state, preventing characters from using magic. However, due to how Telum Fatalem's systems are set up, this would cause a character like Drakul to become essentially useless, with no option to switch out, and a limited self-healing resource. In the interest of this, Silence will instead deliver a -25% debuff to the Magic Attack stat. This will mean that Drakul will not be rendered immobile by the skill, but also means that this is a state you will want to get rid of for maximum effectiveness. I will see how people interact with this, and see if this debuff needRs more tweaking.
- Renamed the skill "Reload" to "Reset"
One thing that people said was unclear was Magiel's skill "Reload", which people thought at a glance was gun-related, considering his two other skills are damage-based. However, this is instead supposed to be the mitigator for a lot of the states that crop up in this demo. This removes Swift, Silence, Poison, etc. Because of this, when people found themselves stuck with Drakul, I found no-one was using this skill once the Amplifying Herb supply was getting low. So I've decided to change the name of the skill to "Reset", which I think will help the player go "Oh, if I want to return to normal, I need to use THAT skill.", at least at a glance.
